Elastix is now 3CX, steps to follow and FAQs

A few months ago, the company Palosanto, manufacturers of Elastix, announced that the Elastix 5 telephony engine will be powered by 3CX, the leading developer of software-based PBX. In the first instance, uncertainty was generated for the entire community working with Elastix, as well as for us 3CX Partners, as the consequences were not entirely clear. It is worth mentioning that Elastix had over 100,000 installations worldwide and tens of thousands of monthly downloads. As the months passed, the situation became clearer, and we are now in a position to analyze what is to come and clarify any doubts that may arise. FAQs

Can users continue using Elastix?
Yes, they can do so with version 4 and below, but these are no longer supported since the release of Elastix 5. Due to this recent development, any version prior to Elastix 5 is considered insecure and has limited features compared to its successor, Elastix 5.
What does Elastix version 5 entail?
Elastix 5 is the name given to migrating from previous versions of Elastix to 3CX software. It means that you can access all the improvements and benefits that 3CX has to offer.
